Registration for the 2020 edition of the Canadian Sustainability Conference and Expo (CSC) is now open for exhibitors, sponsors and attendees! If you are involved in cleaning, infection-prevention and/or sustainability, don’t wait! Register today because CSC 2020 at the Delta Toronto Airport Conference Centre in Toronto, Canada, is where you need to be April 7-8.
Themed “Beyond Green,” CSC 2020 is expected to feature 90-plus of the premier manufacturers in the cleaning and infection prevention industries, showcasing the latest innovations available worldwide. There to experience these products and services firsthand will be an estimated 1,500 CEO, director and other management-level attendees hailing from the education, health care, government, building service contractor, integrated facility services, property management and related sectors.
In addition to the excitement of the Expo floor, CSC 2020 will offer an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers and subject-matter experts as well as provide the best opportunity of the year to network with peers from throughout Canada and the northern United States. So whether you participate as an exhibitor, sponsor or attendee, CSC 2020 is the place to connect with innovation, education, inspiration, colleagues and customers for professional development.
Word From Our Hosts
CSC 2020 is the result of the successful merger of the former Canadian Cleaning Conference and earlier CSC editions. It is hosted by MCL Sustainable Cleaning Solutions and its new strategic partner, the Canadian Association of Environmental Management (CAEM).
“We were extremely pleased with the successful reception CSC 2019 received,” says MCL Sustainable Cleaning Solutions CEO Warren Jacobs. “We thought it might be hard to beat, but we are excited to see that the 2020 conference is already on track to far exceed our last edition; we have expanded the offerings for 2020, including a larger Expo show floor and more education and networking opportunities, and it has already sparked great interest from exhibitors, sponsors and attendees.”
Jacobs also attributes some of this early success to the new alliance CSC formed with CAEM.
“We are extremely pleased about the opportunity to partner with CSC and promote our common goals of increasing awareness of the vital roles cleaning, infection prevention and sustainability play in our society,” says CAEM President Keith Sopha. “Protecting health and the environment is not only the right thing to do, but it also helps attract socially conscientious employees and improves bottom lines.”
CSC 2020 will feature not one but three high profile keynote speakers:
Kicking off the conference on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. is Dr. Dave Williams. Record-breaking Canadian astronaut, former health care CEO, scientist, author and aquanaut —to name but a few of his accomplishments—Williams is sure to inspire and motivate. He is famous on earth for his compelling, straight-forward approach to achieving peak performance, risk management and environmental stewardship. In his presentation, he will show how to develop a culture where innovation, best practices, fiscal responsibility and customer/patient-centered care converges to improve staff and client satisfaction—and the bottom line.
Wednesday’s education program starts at 9:00 a.m. with legendary Canadian football Hall of Famer and Pinball Clemons Foundation founder Michael “Pinball” Clemons, an icon on and off the field. With his small—by football standards—stature and unique running style that earned him his nickname, Clemons spectacular 12-year career with the Toronto Argonauts includes earning three Grey Cups and setting multiple records. Looking to give back, Clemons founded the Michael Pinball Clemons Foundation, an organization that invests in youth education worldwide. A lively and passionate speaker, Clemons will share his experience on overcoming obstacles and achieving success through perseverance and teamwork.
You will definitely want to stay Wednesday afternoon to learn and be inspired by the dynamic Marc Saltzman, who will present at 4:15 p.m. Just prior to his presentation, at 4;00 p.m., Saltzman will announce the winners of the Best Cleaning Product Award, Best Infection Prevention & Control Award and Most Sustainable Product Award as voted on by attendees during the conference.
Immediately following the award presentation, with three million views—and counting—on his YouTube channel, Saltzman, a tech evangelist, TV/radio personality and author, will share his experience and insights on how to attain and maintain success in today’s high-tech world.
And these are just the keynotes! Visit sustainabilityconference.ca in the coming weeks for the full education schedule on the key topics of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, Leadership and Next Generation Strategies and Cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control.
Networking, Networking, Networking
CSC is the No. 1 event in Canada for leaders in infection prevention, cleaning and sustainability to gather to exchange information, ideas—and business cards – to assist in the generation of ideas for strategy and execution. The Tuesday evening Networking Reception provides a wonderful chance to build new and strengthen existing relationships. But it is far from the only networking opportunity the two days offers. Talk to vendors and customers on the Expo show floor. Attend presentations with colleagues at the CEO director, manager and supervisor level. And congratulate award winners as voted by the attendees.
